Skykits Corporation has Tefzel Hook-up Wire
The aviation standard for aircraft wiring is Tefzel
MIL-W-22759/16 for single conductor unshielded wire and
Tefzel MIL-C-27500 for multi-conductor shielded wire. The Tefzel
(ethylene/tetrafluorbethylene) coating is
highly abrasion resistant and rated to 150 degrees centigrade.
MIL-W-22759/16 unshielded wire consists of a tin-plated
copper conductor inside a Tefzel medium-wall
outer core.
MIL-C-27500 shielded wire consists of tin-plated copper conductors inside a
Tefzel outer core which
are then wrapped in a tin-plated shield of copper braid and a Tefzel outer
jacket. Shielded wire is
recommended for installations such as radios and intercoms where interference
could adversely
affect performance.
